Food fairies professional in disaster management
Just to say hello and convey me-and-my-thoughts for the moment….,
Â
Star paper today reported the efforts of charitable groups of community:-
- Sikh group brings rice and organizes ‘pulao’ for 2,400 Nargis-hit people (70 local volunteers). More …
- Seven Ipoh traders cook for a good cause - donations for Sichuan earthquake victims. Cheerfully served Ipoh favorites for six hours on Sunday and raised $9029.10). More …
All these efforts of fund raising for disaster relief/donations are for charitable people who are reluctant or cautious in donating through national or international channels….not certain as to whether the funds collected will be delivered to the hands of the victims.
Â
So, to come to the gist of my message:-
Â
What are we (as the food ‘fairies’ professionally) doing for these or for any disaster events in future?? In disaster management…just the thought that counts just is’nt good enough eh?
Â
Anyone have a good idea, please respond and we can act on it or at least stash it in our humanitarian bank of thoughts till required.
